The last few nights touring with Elvis Perkins in Dearland have been amazing. They are so good - so much energy, such great lyrics and delivery, such musicianship and beauty too. It’s been just killing us.
The crowds have also been wonderful, and we have gotten to hang out with our manager, Luke, who lives in Boston, who is one of the World’s Best People.
Here is a photo of some of the dearland man, making the magic happen. Really nice guys, too.

Our show tonight was one of our all time favorite shows. There can only be two reasons for this:
Epic night. Super fun. This is gonna be a fun week.
Thank you, Boston.
We Bowerbirds first met Elvis Perkins last summer, when he came to the show we were headlining at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan. He talked to us after the show and was really nice, and a couple days later, he asked if we would play a few shows with him this fall.
We had known his music since soon after he released Ash Wednesday, and we really love his new music too, so we are excited to play these shows together, starting tonight in Boston at the Paradise.
If you aren’t familiar with him or his band, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, you can check them out here:

If you’ve been slacking off about coming to our shows lately, this might be a good chance to come out, because you also get to see their fantastic band.
Also, we might not be returning to some of these east coast places for a very long time (until maybe next fall), so it’s also your chance to catch our amazing new man on drums, Yan Westerlund.
And if you miss our Bowery show next Friday with Elvis, we are also playing Union Pool the night after (Saturday), in bkyln.
